Then, either * Old custodian sends electronic transfer to move funds from old account to new custodian (preferred); OR * Old custodian sends paper check -- payable to New Custodian -- to YOU, and YOU have to send it along to the new custodian (or give it to your financial advisor to do for you) (unfortunately still common, for "reasons"). Finally, set up direct deposit to send part of your paycheck to the IRA, OR set up an automated transfer to move money from your bank to your new brokerage.

Buy 100 TSM shares..... then place "SELL TO OPEN COVERED CALL" and input quantity as 1.... done... repeat for every 100 shares. You collect the premium now in the hopes that TSM stock will creep down because you think it's "overvalued" or that market will start selling off semi stocks, then you "BUY TO CLOSE" once the contract value is down by a lot so you made a small profit by selling the call at higher price and buying to close it at lower price. If you have 1000 TSM Shares, you can sell 10 calls. Anything less than 100 shares, don't bother, unless you want to sell naked calls which is very risky if you have no clue what you are doing
