I think you’ll be OK, to be honest. I don’t trade CMG so I’m not familiar with what the expected move is after an earnings report. Your best bet is to have an order in place because it might just get filled. I actually had an earnings 185 call calendar on BA for a debit of 0.40. BA closed at 169 yesterday so I was 16 points away. I placed an order to sell for a credit of 0.70 last night. This morning it got filled at 6:34am PST when BA was at 177.

Unironically I have been watching spy/QQQ option chains for the last 1.5 months and every time RSI breaks out of range(from open to around 9am PST) $1 ITM option in the opposite direction print at least 50-600% returns over 4/5ths of the time. Have yet to pull the trigger and pull port cause I know I will hit that 1/5 time when I do.

As a PST resident, this would be awesome. It's really hard making emotionally objective decisions when I have to get up at fucking 6 am to not miss market open. During winter I was traveling around Europe and I cannot tell you how amazing it was to see market open in the afternoon and close well into the night.

Let me put it this way. How do you feel about the market when you look at your 401k/normal brokerage where you don't do options and how do you feel when you look at Robinhood? I am literally a schizophrenic in this context. I lose my shit at 6.40AM (\_I'm on PST and balls deep in semi calls\_) but then I see my overall net worth and calm down lol. This market is actually being too rational imo. I've not felt more confident about long term equities ever before. I'm not even bothering to send money home when people tell me "Indian market skyrocket". What the Fed is doing, how the US companies are performing and specifically which companies are performing... it just points to a very mature economy. The only concern is a very macro one, that of stupid housing prices and supply.

You can buy stocks and ETFs in pre-market session, but I do not think you can trade options during pre and post market session (except few index options until 1:15 PM PST (4:15 PM EST)

Today I bought SPY calls expiring today (4/11). I put in a stop limit order to sell all 29 contracts for +500 profit when I was ITM to let it ride, approximately at 10:15am PST. My phone (Z fold 4) then crashed before the order was placed, and robinhood still continues to crash when I still try to access it now on my Samsung fold. I then went to my macbook to sell all 29 contracts, but it said that I currently had 0 contracts, and that they were holding the 29 to sell, but I could cancel my stop limit order to sell more contracts. Tried to clear my stop limit, but it was no where to be found. Was not in my history, or main robinhood page. I then tried doing it on my wife's iPhone but still could not sell. Never got an email confirming my stop limit order, and 24/7 in app customer support had a error message everytime I tried to get access, either on the iPhone or macbook. Update: It is now 12:24 PM PST, and the contracts were automatically sold for +500. All of a sudden, now the app works on my Z fold 4, and I am able to access the 24/7 customer support. True. I opted to get in pre-catalyst on a Friday. SunPower is an industry leader. Do your DD but this isn't a company that needs to sell shares to pay for SEC fines, they don't make AI dildos, and they aren't an automaker who already had bankruptcy for failed EV in 2012 who just so happened to be failing and trying to sell another EV. I don't even think a pump is needed. I am cool with just holding the bag on this one. The shorts are just an opportunity to get in low. Worst case scenario, I sell it for quick gain when a catalyst hits and best case I hold until it gets back to $13. I think I will get MAXN as well next week. I think once AB 2619 reverses NEM 3.0, there will be a surge in stock prices from solar companies. And it looks like they are meeting on that topic on 4/17 1:30 PST. (Sorry for the random jargon. I did some DD and learned a law was put in place in April of 2023 in CA that negatively impacted the industry and solar panel owners. The most interesting thing about this whole affair is that right now (9:30pm PST) emails, texts and legal filings are flying like bullets as the various parties involved fight among themselves as to how they will go public and how to handle Trump’s lockup period. They all know that when he sells the value goes to zero so they are trying to structure it so the DWAC crowd scrams first. Oracle and NVDA announced a multi year partnership in 2022, although will be interesting to hear what new developments are in the works. One event that will happen next week is on Tuesday 8:30AM to 10AM PST where Jensen will be having a Financial Analyst Q&A. There will also be HPE and other companies discussing edge technology and any news of buying B100’s or H100’s could add the projected earnings.

The time is 7:30am PST. i’m in an uber to the airport, watching the ticks like a hawk. i’m about to sell a few things being up literally 1000% on a couple NVDA and COIN calls, then we arrive at the airport and i have to get out of the car.
