I can't find the exact video, but there's one TAS feat that was "impossible to do by a human" in Mario 64 because the input was frame perfect. If I'm not wrong the person who did it still has the WR on said category of SM64 and only like 2 other people are able to do it. It's very complex. First of all, SM is for the GENERAL PUBLIC. And the general public doesn't know the difference between centralized SM and decentralized SM. The only thing they understand is "Instagram looks cute, works fast, and is used by their friends already." So to convince the general public to go full decentralized SM, this decentralized SM should look nice, work fine and be able to keep its users entertained. Secondly, whether decentralized or centralized, you should always be able to evolve with your users and be ahead of your competitors. It's challenging to achieve all these goals while being fully decentralized. Usually, you need a company to back up, monitor, and moderate this platform. Otherwise, it could become the next "Only Fans" or worse. Lastly, many people already have concerns about their privacy on SM. Do not convince people; invite the ones who are already convinced. There seem to be enough "early adopters" for such a thing as decentralized SM. All others will join if everything else is on point :)

I have been saying for a few years - if you want to create the next real revolution in crypto markets then figure out how to create CCPs (or… DCPs?). I hadn’t thought about this „proof of funds“ but that could be almost a prototype. Crypto is now experiencing 2006-8 again and again. One of the things that have worked well in the last 15 years are stronger capital regulations for banks like Basel I/II/III (which the industry adamantly fights) and proper clearing. You see some exchanges having some constant initial margin ratios from which I can tell you that it seems like there’s barely any understanding what IM/VM/SM is actually there for besides „putting some bound on the leverage“. Figure out clearing and the next crypto era will start.

Anyway email providers upper their spam filter game and the problem went away for a while. When DLC's, simple Taproot SM's, the LN and multisig compose to enable non-custodial borrowing and lending (probably next year commercially), then they're really in for a surprise. Not sure I see 0.5 to 1% as a huge increase in rates to be honest, in the 70's we had double digit overnight rate hikes. 50-100 bips would pour cold water on the housing market, but as the fed has been very vocal about 6 or 7 hikes this year I think the stock market has already priced this in, especially risk assets like tech and crypto (im thinking the announcements about so many hikes were deliberate to take the wind out of the SM to prevent devaluing the dollar?). The biggest problem I see is inflation getting worse due to a surging demand in services as we open up after the pandemic. The fed are going to have to walk a tightrope in order to prevent a huge recession. Just my 2 pennies.

It's critical we get massive support for this. The sooner it happens, the better privacy we'll have, and most importantly, the sooner non-custodial borrowing and lending will arrive with simple SM's and multisig.

Bitcoin will absolutely compete with public debt the larger it grows. We're already seeing the first green shoots of that here in Canada with pension allocations traditionally bond heavy. We haven't even reached to point where simple Taproot SM's plus multisig open the door for non-custodial borrowing and lending. The yield curve around bitcoin hasn't developed yet and derivative infrastructure is an infant. You have much to learn.

GBTC will always trade at a discount to spot for obvious reasons. And should non-custodial lending and borrowing arrive (via simple Taproot SM's and multisig), then that discount should widen further.

You can do that, but the ticketing issuer can just put a 80% profit tax on your resale into the SM. Or include a stop limit price. Or simply attach the NFT ticket with a personal ID..

good question, Comparing to Harmony ONE which i know. (maybe i'm biased, but i try to learn from my : super fast , low fee exposure) So if u compare base stats NEAR >> ONE that's a fact then u go to NEAR & Harmony Explorer and defilama there is quite a difference. First of, Harmony has way more Tx, and Protocols which means more arbitrage BOT opportunities, which leads in Tx, seems logical.? Abi trage BOTS and Protocols making quite a lot of RPC calls, and that is what Harmony is fighting against the past few month. So NEAR has full sharding, Harmony kinda not, but would it work with the load of FTM or ONE ? SOL gets a lot of hate lately for stoping network, pretty shure 90% of top 100 would have to do the same. So we are looking which project would be able to keep up with SOL in the top 100: AVAX, FTM, ONE, NEAR, HBAR?, ELROND??, KLAY? Here we go...that's my opinion, the problem is not Transactions itself, most traffic is produced by smart contract calls, which produces RPC calls and so on. pretty sure Harmony/SOL/FTM will process all transaction since existence of ADA within ONE day (pun intended, also the theoretically ADA SM transaction :-) But it is really hard to re - run their own transaction from three days in one day, smart transaction are way more expensive to process, RPC calls and so on. So the real worth of NEAR comes out when it gets battle tested like FTM, MATIC, SOL, ONE and so on. FTM and MATIC increased their fees really hard to prevent spamming their network, SOL shut it down as we know, ONE struggled but did not fall and increased performance of their network. So currently NEAR has about 650k Tx per day, that's definitely better then most, but other like FTM,SOL, Harmony have about 4M per day. Will NEAR struggle with this load, keep in mind most of this are SmartContract interactions so quite expensive. If NEAR keeps up with this and is able to shard this, then NEAR is undervalued.

1) Not always, it depends how you stake them. For most that don't want to be bothered, you can stake them through exchanges/companies to have them stake them for you (eg. Celsius, [crypto.com](https://crypto.com)). The rates are pretty competitive, so it's worth looking into. 2) No, certainly not. Some are variable in their nature. Some fixed by exchanges will be fixed for the agreed period that you have them staked, but they can change the rate for next time if you want to re-stake them. 3) The staking platform. 4) It does seem too good to be true, but thus far I've had no issues. I can't speak to OUSD, but through Celsius and CDC you can get rates up to 12.5% which seem pretty insane. 5)There was a reddit post a few days ago that hit the top of r/CC. Some of the comments contested parts of its accuracy but it would be a good place to start.
