Can’t tell you what to do with your money though unfortunately. Only that I actually believe in both plays, especially if you got in early on PAA when that dd was first written. I want to see how their earning results affect the stock price before making any decision on PAA though.

Your DD on “Frac Spread” is incorrect. Looks like you googled frac spread and put the first answer. Frac spread is the difference in price between natural gas and NGLs, which you capture by fractionating the gas stream. PAA is also relying less on frac spread(commodity) exposure and moving more towards fixed-fee fractionation services. PAA has economic exposure to the frac spread in Canada, where they fractionate AECO gas stream and sell NGLs. Someone said it and is correct, they’re highly hedged in ‘24.

Stock is in breakout territory same with PAA so I think that, in combination with the massive need for all forms of energy during the clean energy transition/ AI industrial revolution Its hard to see a downside. The PAA bet is about the econ in the US doing better then expected, with higher demand for US oil and therefore better profits in midstream, as long as volume in their pipelines is better then anticipated it should pop, regardless of price of oil (thats just a proxy for demand, but again not the perfect one)
