Another under appreciated element to the Enovix - ENVX story…they’ve dramatically shortened the qualification timeline from 14wks to 6wks (stated more clearly from 3.5mos to 1.5mos). Will we see a bit of a squeeze on ENVX do you think. I was in before earnings which was a nice bump but hear people talking about a potential squeeze if it his 12/13
Yeah I’m already in for about $12k of $17.5 calls for 5/17 so I caught the Friday gains. Was just going to stack my ENVX profits in it too but after the researching the share dilution I might just stick with what I’ve got.
It did, but way more media hype around it as well and his following. It’s all the rage in our echo chambers here but the DJT switch was being hyped everywhere. It could still very well go to $40, but I’m now leaning more ~$25 as a high so if we get to $20 on lead up I think I’m going to take my profits. If ENVX hits bigger than I’m planning for then I may stay in.
My plan for the week is ENVX for the 5/6 CEO call, huge bump after earnings and that should continue. Thinking $12 range with the short %. Take those and go all in for ALCC on 5/7, guaranteed money maker. Take profits EOD or 5/8. Roll all that into RILY or IBRX, whichever announces official earnings date first. Really hoping they go back to back 5/9-5/10 and preferably RILY going last as I think it’s got the biggest chance to really bust out and want to be able to take it into the following week if need be.

My initial post got flagged by the moderator because I used an acronym UPH instead of Units Per Hour. I agree this hasn’t begun to squeeze not sure what price induces shorts to cover. I’m surprised it didn’t move higher given in the next month+ there’s just going to be a deluge of positive headlines for ENVX. This management team has more than exceeded expectations. I’m looking forward to the road ahead. When the government of Malaysia granted them a 15yr tax abatement that spoke volumes. They clearly want this company to succeed.
Odd. I sold $10 cc’s on my ENVX shares. It closed at $10.12. Most were exercised and the shares are gone, as expected, but one simply expired and I still have the associated 100 shares.
That’s been the Loop Capital Price Target for a while now. Whether it gets there or higher is anyone’s guess. The market doesn’t either understand or appreciate that if ENVX nails this it will be a material leap forward in battery technology. I agree with your assertion that it’s cheap relative to potential forward earnings. That’s why I weathered the downturn and added. Hopefully people start to realize the opportunity but people have to do their own homework.

Hello! I am very new to options trading and had a question on a position which I have. I am not sure how to proceed from here and will really appreciate your thoughts and guidance. So I sold a (1) covered call ENVX 05/17/2024 $8.5 on 5/1 and but the stock shot up by 45% and is now trading at $10 . What should I do with this covered call? Should I just let it expire on the 17th and get the 100 shares taken away? Thank you so much for your time and as you can see I have lots to learn.
Hit on ENVX and IBRX already this week. Playing ALCC calls for 5/10 (5/7 merger is approved) and then rolling everything into RILY calls for 5/17 before earnings.
Two plays for me; ENVX with only a few thousand shares available to borrow and 30% short interest. JAGX which is up 20% in the premarket after a big day yesterday. The real catalyst will be when they release their phase 3 trial data which is expected soon.

It will be interesting to see $ENVX shorts continue pile on or cover on the back of today's news. The stock was previously north of $20—with considerably less progress made by Enovix compared to today. It is a very different ballgame compared to 2023. To me, it is a curious game to short into the hole sub-$10. The company has cash and isn't looking to dilute. This doesn't sound like a good risk / reward to keep shorting in front of positive catalysts. I suspect the next short interest settlement date will see a drop in shorted shares, as the short thesis is looking incredibly weak at these levels.

I hit on ENVX today, think tomorrow is going to be huge with the after hours action. Am trying to get on IBRX calls tomorrow so hoping for a little dip, shipment out May 9th and earnings 5/13, partly baked into the price rn but think it still has a couple dollars to go. RILY finally at a discount today with earnings due by 5/10. I’ll be hammering 5/10 calls tomorrow and dropped $10k into shares, already made me a lot of money but it’s a ticking time bomb with that short position. Nice that it’s affordable again. I know our group won’t shut up about it but would recommend ya look into it, it just needs a little volume (only a million shares a day on avg this week) and it’s going to double in price. That’s not hyperbole. ALCC is basically a money printing machine for any break even under $20. Merger is happening 5/7 and stock ticker will change to OKLO right after approval. It’s going to head straight to $25 because of Sam Altman. I’m all over $17.5 calls for 5/17.

I’m big on $ENVX this week with 5/10 calls. Earnings 5/1 and a CEO Q&A 5/6. Should be updating on the Malaysia factory completions and I’m holding out for some kind of customer announcement. 28% shorted and nice bounce already on Friday.
SPWR and ENVX kinda have one thing in common. TJ Rogers is the BoD for both companies. SPWR is losing a bit, as cost of solar goes down since there are more supply now. Hard to say if there will be a catalyst. I was looking at ENVX for earnings call potential. If their factory line is up, could be good news for investors. But is a gamble, it is definitely a bleeding one.

Yeah I’m one who made a ton off RILY this week. It’s a stock with a fair value of around ~$50, the only thing driving down the value was a delayed 10-k. We all just took a gamble that it would be filed. Once it was, it’s returning to that same ~$50 value but now with a 75% short interest (thanks to some aggressive shorts with large twitter followings that were betting against the 10-k being filed). Couple the 10-k with an earnings call in the next couple weeks, the upcoming sale of Great American and it’s just an extremely unique scenario that is going to continue to print money for the next few weeks. I still recommend to people to hop in before earnings, it’s only to about half of what it can realistically do. The short position has people thinking triple digits, I don’t think it gets there because shorts learned how to manage exiting better after the GME situation but it is definitely more than a non-zero chance. GDHG I did my DD on because I saw it so much in here and I just don’t see it. I’d like everyone to make money and I know it’s cheap so it’s accessible to people with smaller bankrolls, but what’s the game changing catalyst? Rooting for you GDHG guys as well, but I can’t back the play. I did buy into a $9,000 $11c 5/10 position on ENVX today and I’d recommend folks do their DD on it. Earnings on 5/1, a livestream with their new CEO who is of note in the industry on 5/5, lots of positive operational changes, terribly undervalued, and a decent short position. Stock itself was up 10% today. I think this one also has very big legs and a very cheap entry point still before the earnings call.
how about comparisons with say $QS and $SLDP. Any thing special about $ENVX. I know even Sila nanotech has silicon anode batteries and are working with Mercedes for a long time. There is also Lyten with LiS battery. Its risky to invest in any of them until they have a product that use their battery which is in mass production. Otherwise Chinese battery makers like CATL and BYD will continue to dominate the segment.
I too am long ENVX. It's a bet that they can scale...but oh boy if they do this thing is massively undervalued. Doesn't hurt that they are shorted so heavily that there's a pretty easy path to some explosive upward movement...
I follow Enovix very, very closely. I hold a large number of shares and calls (my position is more than 100x yours) The -$214 million in 2023 is entirely from setting up fab-2 in malaysia and buying their first production line which is in FAT (factory acceptance testing) and is currently moving its way through zone 3. Zone 3 is the hardest part of production since that's where all the silicon anode production and stacking takes place. Given that they recently also stood up an agility line (a line that is built for producing battery samples and not for high volume production) and that agility line passed FAT, now it just needs to go through SAT (site acceptance testing) for the line to be fully operational. The Agility line passed FAT, so it seems likely the high volume line will pass FAT too, but that work is not quite done yet. The $190M in debt is $150M in equity that is a part of a share offering that hits the books like debt that they did last year. Plus $40-50M in operational costs they incurred to set up the initial line in Malaysia. The eventual goal isn't to move into EVs. The eventual goal is to create JVs (joint ventures) with other battery suppliers to get them to switch to producing ENVX batteries. The regular jelly roll batteries we're used to and ENVX batteries can be done with a swap out of parts in zone 3 and the jelly roll batteries can be changed into ENVX batteries for which ENVX can take a cut. That's way more profitable than trying to stand up their own lines to sell low margin EV batteries. EV batteries are in the future, but the profit margin is much better on consumer electronic batteries. Anyway, I hope that answers a few things for you. Hugely bullish on my side.
A key thing to understand about ENVX. TJ Rodgers, the legendary CEO and founder of Cypress Semi and a big investor who made a fortune on ENPH, helped bring them to the market as a SPAC. He is a no BS engineer and decided the founders of the company had to go because while they did great science, they did not know how to scale manufacturing. The current new team he put in place, led by Raj Talluri, has decades of experience in the semi conductor manufacturing space and is extremely competent. If anyone can figure out a way to manufacture these new batteries at scale, it's these guys. I know he is buddies with the OSTK CEO. Other than that his passion is definitely on the short side of things. I can't speak about ENVX I never heard him talking about that stock. I'm guessing he picked that one up after I stopped talking with him.
what kind of work does he do on the longs? like he has in ENVX?
(UPDATE) Since a lot of you have asked: I don’t trade options. Everything was in crypto from the start but I got banned from trading crypto on Robinhood early 2023 when they updated their terms about depositing crypto into gambling websites. They forced me to sell everything . All because I wanted to play a few hundred dollars blackjack online with some friends MONTHS BEFORE in 2022. So I sold all my crypto (mostly bitcoin) around February 2023 {was holding \~$50,000 in crypto at that time} After my crypto fire sale, I pretty much bought a bunch of random stocks. I’ve had some pretty big spikes, mostly because I was just about all in on Enovix (ENVX). It’s been rough but now I’m currently holding a huge position in ENVX and then have a few thousand dollars here and there in some 20 random stocks. The $25,000 is old…. just money I’ve been saving because I’m actually terrified of putting any more money in anything. I’m smart enough to not throw the 25k on options, let alone ever trade options, but I’m constantly picking the wrong stocks are the wrong time. The more I buy, the lower it goes. Last time I sold everything (all my crypto) and moved it to something else, the market took off and left me in the dust. IM NOT SELLING, IM HOLDING UNTIL I GET MY MONEY BACK.
